Hand woven in the Moroccan region of Boujad, a widespread area between the Middle Atlas and the Atlantic coast. Carpets from this region are known for their rich colors, many pattern combinations, and few traditional rules.
This vibrant vintage rug has a plush wool base. A bright cherry hue on one end, blending a few shades lighter in the middle, and then blending back to deeper rusty red on opposite end. This bold beauty is adorned with ochre and white berber motifs, and finished with a black border. Abrash. Good vintage condition, age has gently faded these bold colors in just the right places.
