Incredibly beautiful traditional pottery from the Berber tribes of the Rif Mountains in Morocco.
Traditional methods by the Berber artisans include sourcing local clay, shaping each pot by hand, then firing each piece to set it's final form. Berber motifs unique to each tribe are painted by hand with natural henna and mineral pigments. Each piece is a unique work of art.
Traditional uses include storage or transportation of liquids; preservation of olives, dates, sugar, honey or spices, and much much more.
As this is a handmade piece of art, variation in color, form and wear from age is expected.
Large size vessel, can be displayed on the floor, set on a shelf or placed on a table.
